The story of Whispering Trees Farm — 70 private acres near Houston, built by the Singer family since 2018 to bring people together.
Whispering Trees Farm began on April 28, 2018, when we found 70 acres of untouched Texas land — a place one family had loved and held for more than a hundred years. What drew us in was the quiet — the privacy, the shape of the land, and the trees. So many beautiful trees that naming it was easy: Whispering Trees Farm.
Built for gathering, from day one
From the very first plan, this was never going to be just a home. Alongside a living space for our family, we designed separate cottages to make guests feel welcome, a large commercial kitchen so families and groups could cook and gather, and a pool and hot tub for slow afternoons. We built Whispering Trees to bring people together — because that’s what we believe this land is for.
A three-year labor of love
It took three years and a whole family. We cleared trails through trees so old that some had swallowed the barbed wire of ancient fences. We dug wells, ran power, and — because of the sandy Texas soil — poured a foundation built to last generations. Reagan cut and stripped posts by hand to save the property’s original 100-year-old barn. Our kids, Grayson and Paige, cleared land and set the mailbox. And we planted 150 pecan trees that are still growing toward their first full harvest.
Made for every generation
We wanted a place where no one gets left out — so the main lodge has an elevator, and the guest cottages sit in pairs, each with its own deck and fire pit. Grandparents, grandkids, and everyone in between can be together, comfortably, under one big Texas sky.
